This page explains what Talvern collects, why, and how long it is kept. Talvern is designed to work without an account, and most of what you tell it is never saved to a database.
Optional session details you type in before starting (relationship, participants, topic, language, notes) are used only to give more relevant guidance during your session.
Audio from your microphone is processed by your browser's built-in speech recognition to produce a live text transcript. Talvern does not record or store raw audio.
The live transcript is held in your browser only (sessionStorage) for the duration of your session and is sent to our backend solely to generate in-session guidance and your end-of-session report. It is not written to a database.
Basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) may be processed temporarily by our hosting provider and payment processor as a normal part of serving the site and preventing abuse.
Stripe processes payments. Talvern never sees or stores your card details.
DeepSeek, an AI language model provider, processes transcript text to generate guidance and your conversation report. Only the conversation text is sent — no account information.
We don't create a persistent profile of you. Talvern has no account system in this version.
We don't sell your data.
We don't share your conversation content with anyone other than the processors above, which are required to generate the service itself.
Transcript and report data held in your browser is cleared when you start a new session or close the tab. We do not currently retain conversation content server-side.
Talvern is intended for users 18 years and older.
We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
